the ice calls her music to the lonely shore you drink your father's wine staring at the dark waiting for a moon waiting for a moon you drink your father's wine waiting for an echo waiting a long time forgetting the feeling we hold it down and get lost care nothing for your failures or your distance just dust inside my eye staring at the dark your drink your father's wine waiting for an echo still waiting a long time forgetting the feeling we hold it down and get lost

thrown into the world a wanderer thrown into my body a wanderer thrown into the war wanderer, trying to find my way home i left home when i was seventeen headed east to pittsburgh there to find...left it all behind somehow it keeps catching back up to me now trying to find my way home thrown into the world now my friends come to me in my sleep i recognize the faces i once knew i wish that i could see them now i keep calling out their names and how im trying to find my way home thrown into my body now my love sleeps in a different time her body feels the sun i'll never know im with her though im far away im gonna make it back some day trying to find my way home thrown into the war trying to find my way home

about

thrown into the world, a wanderer.
forgetting the feeling, we hold it down and get lost.

These songs were written in the off hours while finishing graduate school, across short-term leases in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Iowa City. They were recorded with one microphone in a studio apartment in Iowa.
